what i do know, tamron, is that general petraeus, who is head of the cia, has released some information that basically shows that a lot of american entities and agencies wanted to help their comrades. we have to conclude the investigation. we can't politicize it. i think it's important that we put aside the politics. the president wants to get all the facts of what happened, and you know, general petraeus, cia director, i think they're going to release as much as they can. but i was very concerned by the oversight committee in the house releasing names of some of our libyan assets that we had there very rapidly. so let's not politicize this issue. >> your words are probably comforting to some, but it is perhaps too late as this issue has been politicized at this point. four lives are host, and hopefully we will get all the details necessary at some point. thank you very much, sir. it's always a pleasure to have your insight. thank you. >> thank you. >>> atlanta's mayor will join us next. plus, the election aftermath, how "the daily beast" thinks the right will react if romney loses and

you have a presidential election, you have the fbi and the cia kind of going at each other. you have an interagency dispute over the benghazi affair. let's not forget that two weeks ago, "the wall street journal" had a pretty damning article kind of pointing the finger at the cia for the benghazi debacle. a lot of people said then petraeus got thrown under the bus. i don't know if we're going to find out what the hell is going on here for weeks, months and even years. >> lindsey graham says petraeus better testify this week. his number two is now going to talk about the lead-up and what happened in terms of benghazi. but do you think he'll eventually have to testify? how much pressure do you think there is coming from capitol hill? >> i think there will be quite a bit of pressure. but it's not like his deputy isn't reading the same files that he is. i think they'll get just as informative a briefing from his deputy as you would from petraeus. but there will be pressure from capitol hill, definitely, going forward. we'll have to see what happens. hate to say it. there are a l

we've already seen the loss of general petraeus as director of the cia. to many people's minds, one of the great military figures of his generation. he's gone. you have another general supposed to take over the ultimate nato supreme command position who is now embroiled in the same scandal as well and that may or may not end in a certain way. what do you make of it? where do you see this going? >> well, it's surprising that you have two four star generals basically being removed from the scene this close together, and they both came from the same command. you'll remember that general allen was general petraeus' deputy when they were at central command headquarters. you have to wonder what's going on in tampa. what is that microcosm of military activity down there doing. tampa is an interesting place because it's the headquarters of the special operations command and central command, but none of them conduct operations in the area so it's kind of their isolated headquarters for their operations area. so it must do something to them down there. i don't know
